Artists’ Showplace
2009 Invitational Exhibit
Reception
Feb. 6, 2009
6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

All participants of any class held at Artists’ Showplace or any workshop
sponsored by Artists’ Showplace are invited to exhibit their art in this gala
event. Artists may exhibit 1 large painting (22X30) or 2 medium paintings
(22X15), or 3 small paintings. A fee
of $20.00 per artist is asked to help with expenses of advertising and reception
costs, but if the artist prefers, he may bring 2 bottles of wine and a plate of
hors d'ouevres for the reception.
Postcards
Each artist will receive postcards to mail to his friends and clients. Cards for
the show will be available 2 weeks before the reception. They may be picked up
at the gallery. There is no limit to the number of postcards you may have, but
we would like an estimate so that we are sure to order the appropriate number.
Framing & Presentation
All work must be properly framed, wired and ready to hang. No saw tooth hangers
will be accepted. Watercolors on paper should be framed with plexiglass. Only
pastels may be framed with glass.
Greeting Cards
For those of you who make greeting cards, we will have a table for that display.
Reproduced cards are limited to 6 different images per artist. Hand
painted/crafted cards are limited to 10 per artist.
Delivery & Pick-up Dates
Pictures may be delivered to the gallery on Friday, Jan. 30 or Saturday, Jan. 31.
The show will be ready for public viewing on Tuesday, Feb. 3, though the
reception will be held on Friday, Feb 6,
6:00 – 9:00.
Take down date will be Saturday, Feb 28.
Commission
All work should be for sale. The gallery will take 35% commission on sales, so
be sure to calculate that into your asking price.
Reservation
Your space in the gallery will be reserved upon receipt of the registration form
below. You may mail your check to Artists’ Showplace,

at the reception.
Please indicate approximately how many cards you will want for your mailing list
at this time so that we are sure to order enough.
Our past shows presenting community artists have been extremely successful. We look forward to
making the 2009 show another outstanding event to put your work before the
public.

Cards may be picked up at the gallery beginning January 20 for you to mail to
your friends and associates. You may have as many cards as you like, but we must
know how many to reserve for you so that we order enough.
Your space in the gallery will be reserved upon receipt of the
$20.00 entrance fee to assist in production of postcards and reception. You may
mail your check to the gallery or call for credit card payment at 972-233-1223.
Commission
All work must be for sale. Remember that the gallery will take a 35% commission,
so be sure to add that into the pricing of your work.
