Marianne Phelps
Marianne gains inspiration from a lifelong interest in the visual arts and careful observation of the world around her. Nothing gives her more pleasure than being lost in the creation of her pieces. “Life beats down and crushes the soul and art reminds you that you have one.” (Stella Adler)
She is from Dallas and obtained an art degree from the University of North Texas. Her professional career includes work with Dallas ad agencies and freelancing in graphic design and illustration, children’s book illustration, commissioned portraiture, public murals for a local school district, and a painting series for a Dallas corporation.
