By popular request. Ken Hosmer is returning to Artists’ Showplace for a five-day workshop in 2009. He shares his dramatically enriched, yet believable color system with watercolor painters of all levels. A devoted teacher, Ken has a special gift for clearly explaining his unique color system and ideas during his painting demonstrations. He stresses spontaneous painting and creative interpretations. A variety of workshop subjects may include landscapes, flowers, animals, and human figures. A typical day may include a lecture and demonstration in the morning with class work time and individual help in the afternoon. The workshop ends with an uplifting and informative critique session.
Ken Hosmer has been a guest workshop instructor for over 70 art organizations in the U.S. and abroad. He has also been published in the Artists’ Magazine, Watercolor Magic, Splash 4, and International Artist Magazine. He is a signature member of Southwestern Watercolor Society.
