Debbie Landa is best-known for her skyscapes. In oil and acrylic on canvas, she strives to capture the drama of the momentary changes in the sky above—a sky whose uncertainty threatens and at the same time holds the promise of serenity. Her skies exhibit both daylight and darkness, the tranquil and the foreboding, the calm and the chaotic—the opposing forces of life. It is this addition of emotion to nature that allows the artist to connect with the viewer. 

Landa draws inspiration for her paintings from her travels to Europe and to the Southwest and coastal regions of the United States. She has studied with many accomplished artists throughout the country, and her work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions. Her paintings hang in private collections from Seattle to Miami.
